Feeling stressed? #ChooseYourBottles and chill out!

Do you belong to the young crop of the millennial generation? If yes, then you are part of the population’s most stressed out individuals.

According to recent surveys, millennials- those aged between 18 to 33, suffer from the highest stress level out of all the other current living generations. Work, money, and relationships were cited as the top three factors that make today’s young movers and shakers quite unhappy about life. Not to mention the high expectations that society has put on their shoulders.

It’s not all bad news for our hardworking millennial though. Albeit stressed out beyond what is considered as healthy, today’s youth have been feeling less stressed than they were in 2007 with the trend going downward in recent years. The millennials’ many new and de-stressing ways of living life to the fullest can be attributed to this positive light. Travelling, going on night outs, and trying new fun things are just some of the many activities that are keeping the stressed out bunch busy during the weekends. Simple things like taking smart breaks, meditating, or drinking refreshing drinks can also ease the stress of the daily grind.

A new kind of chill in four refreshing flavors

With its set of interesting flavors livened up by a refreshing tea kick, this Indonesian favorite invites the young blood to #ChooseYourBottles and to chill out. Today’s fast-paced and technology-driven world can easily drown us with stress and distractions but it’s definitely easier to keep one’s cool and to take a quick time off with a refreshing drink in hand. Adopting its mantra from the millennial-apt adage “Choose your battles,” Sosro Fruit Tea allows everyone to #ChooseYourBottles from its distinct tea-infused flavors Freeze, apple, guava, and strawberry. Pick the perfect bottle that suits your current state of mind and get to chill in no time.

Created in 1997 by P.T. Sinar Sosro- pioneers of the world’s first bottled ready-to-drink tea, Sosro Fruit Tea finally reaches the Philippines shores via Reddimart Multi-resources’ exclusive partnership with the brand’s principals.

If there’s one thing one will realize after that refreshing “Ahhhh” Sosro Fruit Tea moment, it would be how it’s really easy to de-stress and to stay cool in the face of life’s challenges. #ChooseYourBottles and just chill- this is what the ultimate chill out drink for the busy millennial is all about.

The number one manufacturer of tea drink in Indonesia, Sosro Fruit Tea’s invigorating flavors are now chilling at SM Hypermarkets, Landmark, Sta. Lucia Grocery, Tropical Hut, Hi-Top

Supermarket, Walter Mart, Pioneer Center, and other leading supermarkets. What Sosro Fruit Tea flavor are you having today?

Breakout Philippines: The Country’s Premiere Escape Room Game presents 2 Intense Halloween events

Manila, October 25, 2015— Mark your calendars for November 7, 2015 and get ready for the ultimate Halloween event of the year! FOX International Channels and Victoria Court are partnering up with Breakout Philippines, the country’s premiere escape room game, to bring you an immersive horror experience like no other!

Ever since 2014, Breakout has been providing a unique experience to thousands of players by trapping them in different themed rooms for 45 minutes. They are given an interactive game where players have to team up to find clues and solve logic puzzles based on various storylines. Participants are encouraged to PLAN as a team, SOLVE puzzles collaboratively in order to ESCAPE before time expires.

This Halloween season, #VPartySeries: Midnight Mysteries changes the game as it is no longer enough to BREAKOUT... you must now also SURVIVE! You and your friends will be trapped in a room and will have 45 minutes to try and survive the horror set before you.

There will be scare actors that will enter and exit the room as they please. Some will be nice and try to help you by giving you clues, while some... are not. Be prepared as they invade your personal space, tell you bone chilling stories, separate you from your friends, and sometimes, even leave you alone in the dark. Be ready to be pushed out of your comfort zone.

This is still a BREAKOUT event so there is still puzzle solving involved. You will still choose among the 5 super thematic rooms of Victoria Court Malate which will determine the style of the overall puzzle you will have to solve:

1. The Asgard Room
2. The Casino Royale Room
3. The Bat Cave Room
4. The Candy Land Room
5. The Marakkesh (Sex in the City) Room

If the scares get too extreme for you, there is a safe word... screaming “I want my mommy” will signal our actors to back off and bring you back to your friends. Though be warned, doing so will forfeit the clue you may receive by surviving the scare. Missing out on 1 clue won’t make it impossible to solve the puzzle, but it will make it very difficult. So wear your brown pants and as much as you can, brave up!

If that’s not enough, Breakout Philippines is also teaming up once again with FOX to bring you The Walking Dead Breakout Room. As if time pressure is not enough, you and your friends have to escape while trying to keep your wits together as a flesh-eating walker breathes down your necks.

This is happening at TriNoma Level 4 Garden Restaurants (until November 14 only) and at the Breakout Katipunan Branch.

I'm really excited for this Halloween event, As I can live as a detective for once. I attended Blogapalooza and saw their bone chilling actors roaming around the event.

See if you have what it takes to survive by registering through our 3 main payment channels—online, bank deposit, or in-store registration in any Victoria Court Branch. Visit www.breakout.com.ph for more details.

For more updates, please follow Breakout Philippines on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/breakoutphilippines) and Instagram (@BreakoutPH), and Victoria Court on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/VictoriaCourtPH) and Instagram (@victoriacourtVC).

SAVE HEARTS WITH ART – ROTARIANS

The Rotary Club of Makati West (RCMW) is calling on art lovers to support their annual all-sculpture exhibit-sale dubbed “Alay Sining”to be held at The Gallery, Greenbelt 5, Makati City from November 12 to 15, 2015. Now on its eight year, Alay Sining 8’s theme is “Art with a Heart” which complements the Rotary International’s theme of “Be a Gift to the World”.
Alay Sining is a fund-raising initiative for one of RCMW’s signature projects, the Gift of Life program, which gives congenital heart disease (CHD) patients under the program with free heart surgeries.
According to RCMW President Victor “Junvee” Vital, supporting the art-for-a cause exhibit will not only mean supporting Filipino children with heart ailments but also local artists.
Both seasoned and new sculptors will be contributing pieces to the Alay Sining, and donating a portion of the sale price of their art pieces to the exhibit’s intended recipients – the CHD patients that will be given free heart surgeries under the Gift of Life program.

“If you support Alay Sining, you don’t only support children with heart ailments, but Filipino artists as well. So I say, “Start saving hearts through art,” said Vidal.

Rotary Club Makati West officers and members (L–R) Edsa delos Santos, Davy Lim, AP Bartolome, Alay Sining 8 chairman Paolo Delgado, Greenbelt’s Cel Gera, Ayala Malls manager Mina Domingo, RCMW president Junvee Vital, Roque Tordesillas and Patrick Dionisio are joined (center) by the beneficiaries of the Gift of Life program and their parents.

According to Paolo Delgado, this year’s chairman of the exhibit’s Organizing Committee, this year’s Alay Sining will be joined by over a hundred artists who have sent their respective works for the exhibit.

“They are from all over the country – we have some from Palawan, Mindanao and Cebu. So, it’s really a Philippine-wide sculpture shop, and what’s really nice is that all of the artists have joined because they want to support the Club and the Gift of Life,” said Delgado.

Some of the participating artists of the Rotary Club of Makati’s Alay Sining 8 showcase their artworks during the exhibit’s recent presscon: (L-R) Jaime Nepomuceno, Glen Cagandahan, Benjamin Dailo, Fred Caedo, Kish Javier, Helena Alegre, Merlito Gepte, Jaime Gubaton, Milmar Onal, Ral Arrogante, and Jinggoy Salcedo.

“They (the artists) have taken all the time and the effort to be with us. We’ve had a lot of them over the last eight years, and they have been with us since the first Alay Sining, when we are still learning how to run an art exhibit. And it’s really been heartening and we are very thankful for all the support that the artists have given us,” he added.

Explained Delgado, congenital heart disease usually forms at a very young age, and the mortality rate is not very good.

“Even if you do survive, you end up living a life with some sort of a handicap… you will not be able to engage in sports which young kids should be doing at their young age. So this fundraising that we run for the Gift of Life can really make a world of difference for the children out there,” he said.

RCMW member and former president Roque Tordesillas said that the cost of a heart surgery in a private hospital ranges from Ph800,000 to more than Php 1 million if for an open-heart surgery.

“But because of the work we have done at the Rotary over the past 11 years, we have established ties with the National Children Hospital, our main partner, which have brought down the costs because of subsidies. So that the Club only pays about P100,000 up to P200,000 especially for more complicated surgeries.

Tordesillas also lauded the Alay Sining artists calling them the “heroes” in this project.

“They are the real heroes of this program because they are the ones contributing their works, their artistry, and their hearts for this particular project. Without the artists, there will be no Alay Sining. We have had very generous artists who have contributed their talents to the cause over the years, so that the hearts of children are saved.”

Speaking on behalf of his co-artists, Ral Arrogante, who have been with Alay Sining since Year One,  said that for them artists, doing charity completes their vocation.

Since we cannot contribute cash, we contribute our works. We can’t fully consider ourselves as artists if we don’t do charity. Our works are the best things that we can contribute),” he said

Disruptors are welcome, from an old school perspective to the most advanced technological breakthroughs in power supply, whichever era you may be, CHANGE is inevitable.

Nikola Tesla during our primary days as student was sadly in obscurity till we reach high school. He challenged the existing and widely accepted manner of lighting though oil lamps to the macro voltage - electricity distribution system courtesy of his well-accepted Alternating Current most commonly known AC.

Nikola Tesla is not as famous as Tomas Edison as taught during basic education, but his works and legacy blazes up to this day. Same aspiration as CDR-King, your one stop media provider intends to manifest, to bring products and cost efficient means of power/electricity supply to every household.

California E-bikes, a CDR-King subsidiary, open its doors in TONDO. The branch is powered by a hybrid electricity system that enables sustainable solar energy.
