Brother launches ADS-2400N Network Scanner for utmost workflow efficiency, productivity

Brother International Philippines, Corp. (Brother PH) recently launched the new ADS-2400N Desktop Scanner with Gigabit Ethernet Networking as a remarkable addition to its state-of-the-art line of document scanners.

The Brother ADS-2400N offers true network scanning, without having to log on to a central PC or install software at multiple location points. The ADS-2400N supports TWAIN and ISIS drivers for software integration and image processing, and incorporates Hi-Speed USB 2.0 for super fast processing. The desktop scanner model scans to email, File, Image, Network, OCR (optical character recognition) software, SharePoint®, USB Host and FTP (file transfer protocol) or SFTP (secure file transfer protocol).

Built for professional business usage, Brother ADS-2400N boasts of scan speeds of up to 60ipm (30ppm) and a large 50 sheet capacity document feeder capable of scanning 27 to 413gsm paper weights. Moreover, the ADS-2400N uses a wider output tray to neatly capture paper fed through the automatic document feeder. Paper trays are angled to encounter less paper resistance so paper can glide easily and stack smoothly, reducing paper folds.

The new desktop scanner model also has Multifeed Detection that uses sound waves to identify potential misfeeds. The paper pathway is automatically suspended and the user alerted if an irregular signal is detected. The Advanced Reverse Roller system, meanwhile, manages incoming bulk paper jobs so only one sheet is processed at a time, for outstanding reliability when scanning a variety of document types and weights.

Brother PH employees join cancer patients, support groups in overnight vigil

MANILA – Probably the biggest and most enthusiastic group at the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS)’s Relay for Life event recently held at the Quezon City Memorial Circle, the 250 plus-strong contingent from Brother International Philippines, Corp. (Brother PH), along with their partners, family and friends, took turns going around the oval track in this year’s cancer awareness overnight vigil.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Brother PH joined PCS’s Relay for Life, which annually raises funds for cancer awareness and patients’ services.

Brother Philippines President Glenn P. Hocson said that their continued support for the event allows the company to contribute funds for cancer patients and support groups, give moral support to all patients battling the disease, and cheer on the cancer survivors who already won the fight against the Big C.

Hocson said that it is also the company’s way of providing its employees, as well as the company’s partners, opportunities to give back to those in need of compassion and support and to make them aware of the health risks that may lead to cancer.

The company’s support for the program is in line with the Brother Group’s “Golden Ring Project”, where different offices of Brother worldwide participate in Relay for Life events in their respective countries. A symbolic sash embroidered with the flag of each of the participating countries is being routed yearly so that they can add their latest year of participation in the embroidery work.

“We echo Relay for Life’s battle cry:  celebrate life, remember those who died of cancer, fight back and—If I may add—prevent cancer by living a healthy lifestyle,” said Hocson.

In line with Brother’s Golden Ring Project, the global Brother group initiated a symbolic sash which is being routed yearly so that each participating country can add their latest year of contribution in the embroidery work.
